If you would like to request a Guest Speaker from the Montford Point Marine Association, Inc., to speak at your special event, please submit the request form at email@example.com. All requests must be submitted no less than 30 days in advance of the scheduled event for which the speaker is being requested. The Montford Point Marines Association directive requires that selected speakers participation in public events will be provided at no cost to the Speaker or the Montford Point Marine Association, Inc.
The sponsor is required to pay, when necessary, the standard allowance for travel, lodging and meals for all participants and for other services which have been determined in advance by the Montford Point Marines Association, Inc., and agreed to by the sponsor. Aside from the financial agreement, the speaker will not accept personal honorarium, however the sponsor are encouraged to donate to the MPMA National Monument, at www.mpmamemorial.org
Transportation, lodging and meal costs are not usually incurred when support is provided within 75 miles of the local geographical location of the event. However, circumstances may dictate that reimbursement for any or all of these costs may be necessary and negotiable.
All costs are binding after a speaker or exhibit has arrived at an event site, even though weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances force the event to be cancelled.
The Montford Point Marine Association is a nonprofit Veterans Organization. The speaker will be selective on the theme or topic of discussion. Participation in public programs on behalf of Montford Point will only be authorized when such support is in the best interests of the Association and does not interfere with the purpose or mission of perpetuating the legacy of the first African Americans who entered the United States Marine Corps from the period of 1942 to 1949 at Montford Point Camp, New River, North Carolina. The selected speaker will not endorse political parties or speak at political rallies, events or on religious issues.
